Emergency First Aid
The Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 Core content of the course is:
- the duties of a first aider - appointed
The course provides the range of skills and depth of knowledge required to enable a person to fulfil the main duties of a first aider, i.e., that of preserving life and stopping any condition from worsening.
Many small firms/organisations will only need to make minimum first-aid provision. However, there are factors which might make greater provision necessary. HSE offer the following guideline which may be helpful when assessing needs.
