Introduction
The upturn in the use of computers in the workplace is set to continue with the widely held belief that employers who do not make full use of Information Technology will struggle to be effective, efficient and competitive. Although the office environment has historically been considered to present a low risk to employees, the introduction of display screen equipment can expose personnel to new risks. If these risks are not identified and properly managed, they have the potential to adversely affect health in the form of upper limb disorders and eye-fatigue and strain contributing towards illness and absence rates in your workplace.
‘Literally, anyone who uses display screen equipment
on a regular basis is potentially at risk.’
Who should attend
Safety representatives, office managers and workers from most spheres of industry such as call centres, printers, design studios, banks, estate agents, schools, colleges, hospitals etc. Anywhere where workers spend a significant amount of working time using display screen equipment.
